Hostess is your local guide on the boat and someone who will save your time and provide everything you might need while you are enjoying your time with friends and family. Primary duties of a hostess are preparing meals and keeping the interior of the boat clean and tidy. If there is a chef on board, your hostess will serve food and drinks, make cocktails, take care of cleanliness and tidiness, help skipper during maneuvers, but also help a chef in the kitchen as they work as a team in order to provide you with the best service possible.

hostess-service.jpgIf you want to give yourself a chance to unplug and explore, give yourself a break from normal life and all the responsibilities, hiring a hostess on board is the best thing to do. Hostesses achieve excellent communication with guests and provide them with a completely carefree vacation. They are adapted to each guest depending on whether guests want to learn as much as possible about local customs and places or prefer their intimacy and quiet vacation. They know how important it is for children to have a certain schedule of meals, as well as small snacks, so they deprive parents of those worries by taking it upon themselves, all with the aim that the guests can really relax and enjoy their vacation.

Since there is always lots of work to be done around the boat to keep everything in order, every task must be properly delegated between the crew. So, the tasks of the hostess vary depending of whether she is alone on board or with other crew members.
If you hire only a hostess, she is in charge of keeping the interior of the boat clean and tidy, preparing breakfast and lunch, planning the menu and groceries shopping during the week. In this case, your duty is to navigate the boat and take care of the safety of everyone on board as well as the boat itself. Hostesses are, in most cases, educated and well informed with the recent events, so they can help you, answer your questions and explain lots of things regarding the local rules and traditions. All of our hostesses have a lot of experience and they've been sailing many times. Your hostess will be happy to give you some advice regarding places to visit, she will gladly recommend a local restaurant with local delicacies or a nice turquoise bay for a swim stop or staying overnight.
If there is a skipper with the hostess on board, the two of them will work as a team and take care of most things that must be done. Generally, we could split their tasks: he is managing the exterior and she is in charge of the interior. Just like any team work, the boundaries are not so strict: hostess will help the skipper during maneuvers and he will be happy to step in and help her with serving the table, carrying groceries from the store, etc. We all understand the importance of teamwork, and it's even more important on board so that's something guests really appreciate about our crew. Teamwork guarantees excellent service and a carefree vacation for guests.
